Govt. Industrial Training Institue, Chatrapur

Government Industrial Training Institute, Chatrapur, a premier institute of Ganjam district, was established in 1997. The academic program of I.T.I. Chatrapur commenced in 1997. At present, the institute offers eight engineering trades, including seven 2-year trades and one 1-year trade: Electrician, Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanic Electric Vehicle (MEV), Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP), and Welder, respectively.

Government I.T.I. Chatrapur has rapidly developed world-class infrastructure and smart classrooms to deliver education in an advanced and modern way. The institute is fully equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments, supporting hands-on, industry-relevant training.

Situated on a spacious 7-acre campus near Tampara Lake and within 10 km of the scenic Gopalpur Sea Beach, the institute offers a serene and conducive learning environment. Conveniently located just 1 km from the railway station, the campus is easily accessible for students and faculty alike.

We offer vocational training programs in alignment with the standards set by the Directorate General of Training (DGT) and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, under the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) framework. Training is also provided as per the guidelines of the Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha.

We are committed to continuously upgrading our infrastructure and teaching methodologies to deliver high-quality, skill-based education aligned with industry standards.

The institute began offering training under the PPE (Pre-Employment Programme) scheme of the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, New Delhi, during the academic year 2007–2008.
